Corn and wheat prices rise, while soybeans futures drop
CHICAGO, Feb. 26 () -- Grains closed mixed Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade with the dollar index off 0.06 percent on the International Exchange.Corn was up 7 1/4 to up 11 1/2; soybeans were off 3 1/2 to off 3 3/4; wheat was up 4 to up 6 1/2 and oats were off 1 to up 2 1/2.Corn found support from the cash market and pricing that suggests demand is on the rise. Wheat trading was choppy, but support came from corn, as some of the demand is from feedlots, a segment of the market where corn and wheat pricing influence each other. Soybean futures dropped modestly as a record crop from South America is nearly ready for export markets. The prices:Corn: Mar 7.05, up 11 1/2; May 6.94 3/4, up 9 1/4; Jly 6.79, up 7 1/2; Sep 5.79 1/4, up 7 1/4.Soybeans: Mar 14.47 3/4, off 3 1/2; May 14.31 3/4, off 3 1/2; Jly 14.18 1/2,cheap beats, off 3 1/2; Aug 13.77 3/4, off 3 3/4.Wheat: Mar 7.05 3/4, up 6 1/2; May 7.11, up 5 3/4; Jly 7.14, up 4; Sep 7.23 1/4, up 4.Oats: Mar 3.80,cheap christian louboutin, up 2 1/2; May 3.71 3/4, off 1; Jly 3.69 1/4, up 1/2; Sep 3.69, up 1/2.
