The More You Subtract,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
Media is a most powerful tool which directs people by using trends,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], prototypes and shows how they really must act as a humanbeing. Of course we can't underestimate the role of advertisements as a weapon of the media. If you look at an ad it seems like you are just hhaving a look. But if we think about young people who are obviously more vulnerable and more open to be affected by environment in comparison to adults,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], ads can not be just a tool to have a look at but may become easily a life style. It is very common to see lots of young people with Adidas or Nike shoes for example on the street. Because of their peers and other environmental factors these shoes are not only shoes but they become a musthave. Sometimes i think i seem as a billboard with my clothes like most of the other adolescents and even if i am aware of this just like everybody i choose to ignore this "little" problem. Another observation that i made about myself and other girls,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], i think we use more prestigious and expensive cosmetic products in comparison to our mothers for instance. At least i feel that i am like that because so interestingly my mother often borrow my makeup products from me to use for a while. That may be because of my large option scale of products. I don't think that another girls are so different from me. Sometimes i forget from where or when i bought a clothe or a lipstick for instance. But the answer isn't so far from me. When i look at my magazines to read a column , i see lots of marked products with their preices and brands. I really choose what to buy from magazines or again more likely to them from internet pages which include lots of products to advertise and sell. I need to say concisely that i fully agree with Jean Kilbourne about the power of ads on our personalities and behaviours as a person who experiences this problem sometimes in the daily life.
I think that people have to take this "issue" serious or at least they need to understand that this is an issue. Otherwise i think in the near future it is possible to see lots of parents ,who are now teenagers, saying to their children: Hey,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you wear this brand of clothe so behave like a little mild girl! Like your friends who wears the same will have then very quiet,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], mild girls in the future who hide their own characters behind the walls of new trends, prototypes and musthaves.
