Pawel Pawlikowski's 'Ida' wins best film at BFI London Film Fest
LONDON, Oct. 20 () -- Polish director Pawel Pawlikowski's film "Ida" about the German occupation of Poland during World War II won the top prize at the BFI London Film Festival.The festival award ceremony was held Saturday night at the Banqueting House in central London, The Hollywood Reporter said.Philip French, who was recently awarded a BFI fellowship and is president of the official competition jury, presented Pawlikowski with the award."We were deeply moved by a courageous film that handles,[url=http://www.christianelouboutinoutlet.com]Christian Louboutin Discount[/url], with subtlety and insight, a painfully controversial historical situation -- the German occupation and the Holocaust – which continues to resonate,[url=http://www.christianelouboutinoutlet.com]Louboutin Outlet[/url]," French said.
