"To hit the target, keep our promise and protect our children from climate chaos, we have to build on that progress."The U.S. State Department published a draft 2014 Climate Action Report highlighting progress made on President Barack Obama's commitment to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 17 percent below their 2005 levels by 2020.The State Department said the 2020 goals were ambitious but achievable. "[Progress] includes doubling electricity generation from wind and solar, establishing new fuel efficiency standards for cars and trucks and promoting efficiency in our homes and businesses," the department said.
