'Initially described as a welldressed bandit who allegedly held up a news agency and a liquor store on April 1, he appears to have traded his suit for scruffs during three other offences on April 10,' police said.
'It's alleged the man robbed a 26yearold man in Dundas Street, Preston after assaulting him numerous times with an unknown weapon, causing serious injuries.
'Ninety minutes later, the offender also tried to rob a Tattslotto outlet in Carlton North when he approached a 47yearold male at the counter.
'The victim's 13yearold daughter was standing next to him at the time and the victim,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who feared for their safety, was unable to comply with demands for cash and the offender fled the store.
'He crossed the road and allegedly robbed a pharmacy a short time later with a mother and child in close proximity to the bandit as he produced a knife and stole money from the business,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].'
Police say Melbourne Embona Taskforce detectives are investigating the incidents and are calling on anyone who recognises the man to come forward and contact them.
They say he is perceived to be of Middle Eastern appearance,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], aged in his late 20searly 30s and 175cm tall,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], with an olive complexion and a shaved head.
'He is said to have an extremely distinctive tattoo on the right side of his neck of two lines of cursive text which states; 'My only friend is my misery',[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],' police said.
'On April 10, the man was wearing a black hooded jumper and tracksuit pants.
'During offences committed on April 1, the man was wearing a dark grey suit with fine white or grey pin stripes and a black shirt, grey tie and grey skate shoes.
