Nike Air Max One 1999 - Full RestorationThese Air Max One were bought in Reading,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], England in 1999 by my brother, a few years later while visiting my family circa 2005 in Italy I noticed he given them to my Dad who had steadily worn them into the ground. I took them back caked in mud and cleaned up and wore them for a good three years,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], then as I was about to throw them away a friend stepped in,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], took them and wore them up until this summer.
First up I had to clean them up as best as I could, defog the air bubble and try and get the shape back. There is a part of the midsole that is cracked and wont take the paint but I have to figure that out at a later date too!
For now though I pretty happy with the results,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]!
Restoration Project 2: Strip and repaint midsoles on Air Max Ones (2002 OG colour way)
First go at repainting the midsoles on Air Max 1s. After 10 years they were looking a bit worn, made the fatal error of putting them in the washing machine a few times so the midsoles were looking terrible. I gave them a clean then stripped away the old paint,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a lot of forums say to use Acetone personally I never do that again as it started to where away the rubber and crumble of in places. Next time I take more time and use a nail file or fine sand paper! After they were stripped I used 3 coats of white leather paint letting them dry between coats! They look pretty good, not perfect mind a few stray spots of paint here and there I need to clean up! Got a really f**ked up par to work on next
