Portland Oregon NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet
The Portland Chapter of the NAACP (Branch 1120) will be holding it's annual Freedom Fund Banquet at the Red Lion Hotel Portland Convention Center located at 1021 NE Grand Avenue in Portland,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Oregon onFebruary 23,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 2013.
Tickets are $55 each and a limited amount of reserved tables are $500 (seats 10). The event begins at 6:00 pm for meetandgreet,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], followed by dinner,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], entertainment and speakers beginning at 7:00. The format will feature several distinguished speakers and is the Portland Unit's largest fundraiser event of the year.
Founded in 1909,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is the nation's oldest and largest Civil Rights organization. Portland NAACP Branch 1120 was founded in 1914 and is the oldest continuously chartered branch west of the Mississippi.
