Mother pleads for help in finding her son
BELLINGHAM,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], WASH The mother of a missing Western Washington University honor student tearfully pleaded for his safe return Tuesday,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], three days after he was last seen leaving an offcampus party.
The News Tribune reported that freshman Dwight A. Clark,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 18, left the party in the 1000 block of Indian Street early Sunday morning and has not been seen or heard from since.
His disappearance is unusual, police say, as his car remains parked on campus and his bank accounts have had no recent activity. No one has been able to contact him on his cell phone.
"His phone is always on," said his mother,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], RaeLyn Clark. "I tried to call him twice on Sunday and it went straight to voicemail. He called me everyday since I brought him up here. I don't know where he's at and I need him home."
Police used search dogs to try to track Clark's path from the party, police spokesman Mark Young said. Friends and family members also helped search for Clark along the paths and trails in Sehome Arboretum and behind Indian street, RaeLyn Clark said.
Dwight Clark graduated from Auburn High School with honors and moved to Bellingham about a week before he disappeared,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Anyone with information about his disappearance should call 911,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
Clark is from Auburn. He was last seen wearing a pink tyedied shirt, blue jeans, and black Nike shoes.
