At least that was the case until June 2, when Harris - the most vibrant 80-year-old I've ever known - passed away after suffering a stroke several months earlier.

He hasn't missed a home game since 1946. He had a streak of 608 consecutive games until 2003, when he twisted an ankle at a rest stop en route to Kentucky.
