Tuesday, April 5. The annual event is an opportunity to join with others who care about Maine environment to visit the State House and speak with legislators. It's an opportunity to learn about this year environmental priorities, participate in the legislative process, share your thoughts with your legislators and meet other NRCM members. Registration is requested. Major sporting goods dealers in Maine will be there with new rods, reels, firearms,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], camping gear and more. Sporting camps, deep-sea fishing boats,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], rafting outfits, DeLorme and many other outdoor-related businesses also will be on hand. Sunday. Thursday, March 31, at the MDI YMCA,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 21 Park St. The park offers true wilderness backcountry hiking on the North Rim of Western Brook and the Long Range Mountains. There are no trails - just you, the map,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a compass and the breathtaking beauty of Newfoundland. The course is a home-study class. Students must attend all sessions and study at home. The Kittery Trading Post's annual show is held at the University's Field House. Sunday. The show brings together top paddlesport manufacturers and a seminar series allowing visitors a chance to test the latest products and take advantage of special weekend prices. at Gentile Hall. Members of the community are invited to come in and enjoy climbing on UMPI's 37-foot climbing wall. Gentile Hall members and UMPI students will be able to participate for free; nonmembers must pay the $7 day pass fee at the front desk upon arrival.
